In use, the moisture of the mold shell itself and the corrosive gases that are volatilized by heat often cause short circuit and burnout of the electric furnace wire, as well as corrosion of the furnace refractory bricks, insulated ceramic tubes, power leads and furnace shells, causing constant furnace repairs and electric furnaces. Frequent welding or replacement of the wire; especially if the electric furnace wire is broken during heating, only after opening the furnace door to allow the furnace temperature to cool, can the furnace be repaired and welded. One is the delay in production; the other is the waste of heat (the previous temperature wasted) .
